so i figured i was done for, so i'll at least use the radio till i figured out what to do.
apart from having to unscrew the cage surrounding the actual deck (which i don't dare attempt unless i'm really ticked) there was nothing on the deck itself to reset anything. so i took off the plastic fascia from around the deck, and unbolted the deck from the dash. so i figured there has to be a button or reset something on the deck that is hidden from plain sight. FOR WHAT, what are they going to do to it that is sooooo special? nothing. all of them said it has to go back to Ford. BOGUS I SAY! so i started looking all over the net, and calling several dealers and stereo shops.
all of a sudden, i'm staring at a 3-400 dollar repair. found out the hard way that it doesn't really like burned discs. Had several discs in the changer, both burned and store bought. it has sync which is far beyond anything i've ever had. Really enjoy the vehicle and it is lots of fun.
